Article 1. Animals, Fowl Generally
No horses, cattle, hogs, goats, sheep or bees shall be kept or maintained inside the area of the city limits, except that any horses, cattle, hogs, goats, sheep or bees being kept or maintained in such area at the time of the adoption of this Code may be continued for as long as the real estate where they are is located is owned by the present owner. This section shall not apply to the exhibition of such animals at any 4-H function or fair. Any person who shall keep or maintain any horses, cattle, hogs, goats, sheep or bees in violation of this section shall upon conviction thereof be punished by a fine not to exceed fifty dollars ($50).

(a) Any person or keeper or chickens or other fowl including ducks, geese, turkey and guinea fowl, who shall permit the same or any of them to run at large upon any public street, alley, or ground belonging to another within the city shall upon conviction be fined in any sum not less than one dollar ($1) and not more than twenty dollars ($20) for each offense.
(b) No person shall own, keep or harbor any fowl which by loud or frequent or habitual crowing, cackling or other noises shall annoy or disturb any neighborhood. Each day a fowl engages in by loud or frequent or habitual crowing, cackling or other noises shall be considered a separate violation. Violation of this section shall be punishable by up to a fine of not less than $50.00 or more than $100.00. The fine upon second violation shall not be less than $ 75.00 nor more than $200.00. Upon subsequent violation, the fine shall be not less than $125 nor more than $400.00.
